Brightness and typical power figures are approximate. Actual output and consumption vary with colour, brightness, effects and installation. Typical power figures are from ShowHome’s amp-meter observations, not a fixed draw for every setting.

Brightness, spread beautifully

Many small lights.
One connected look.

A few bright fixtures can leave strong pools of light with darker spaces between them. ShowHome places smaller light sources along your roofline, helping create a more even architectural outline.

With approximately 8-inch spacing, the light is distributed across the installation instead of concentrated at just a few points.

Wall coverage depends on mounting position, roof height, surface colour and brightness. Roofline lighting is not a substitute for task or safety lighting where required.

Power usage

Big atmosphere.
A smaller power draw.

Each module is specified at a maximum of 1 watt. Many everyday settings use less: colours and animations typically use around half that, while the dedicated white channel usually uses less than half.

Maximum specified

1 W per light

Up to 300 W for the lights in the 300-light example.

Typical colours & effects

~0.5 W per light

Around 150 W for the lights in the same example. Draw changes with the effect.

Dedicated white channel

<0.5 W per light, usually

Usually less than 150 W for those 300 lights when using the white channel alone.

What does that mean over an evening?

A steady 150 W lighting load running for 6 hours uses 0.9 kWh. Multiply by your electricity rate to estimate its energy cost. Power-supply losses and controller consumption add to the total measured at your outlet.

These examples describe the light-module load. Size power supplies, wiring and power injection using the installation guide and maximum required load—not the typical-use estimate.

RGBW + individual control

Every light has
a part to play.

Each module can be controlled independently. Set a clean architectural look, create zones, or send flowing colours and chasing effects along the roofline.

White is its own channel.

RGB creates your colours. A dedicated 3000K warm-white channel provides architectural white without needing to mix red, green and blue together.

Use white for everyday evenings, then switch to colour when the occasion calls for it—all from the app.

Construction & longevity

50,000
hours of rated LED life.

ShowHome LEDs are rated for 50,000 operating hours. That is time with the lights on—not simply time since installation.

Gold bonding wires, UV-resistant clear encapsulation and stable power regulation support long-term operation. Each addresses a different part of the LED module’s reliability.

At 4 hours per day

~34.2 years of operating time

At 6 hours per day

~22.8 years of operating time

At 8 hours per day

~17.1 years of operating time

Operating-time equivalents: 50,000 ÷ daily hours ÷ 365. See the brief rating note below.

The construction behind long-term performance.

99.99% gold bonding wire

The tiny internal connections inside each LED use 99.99% gold bonding wires. Gold provides a conductive, corrosion-resistant connection, helping maintain electrical continuity over time.

UV-resistant clear encapsulation

The LED assembly is protected by anti-UV clear encapsulation. This transparent material is designed to resist degradation from sunlight and help maintain optical clarity during outdoor use.

Fire-resistant module housing

The housing encloses and supports the light’s electronics. Its material is specified as fire-resistant, with housing burn testing reported in our product presentation.

Upgraded power regulation

Production from July 2025 uses the TD1566 power-control IC. The update specifies improved voltage tolerance and current stability, intended to reduce electrical stress on the 3000K white LEDs.

Construction details reflect ShowHome’s product information, including the July 2025 electronics update.

Why LED technology supports a long working life.

LEDs generate light in a semiconductor rather than a heated filament. Their light output normally declines gradually with age. Reliable connections, protective materials and power regulation help preserve the conditions the LEDs need to keep operating.

Managing heat and using the specified voltage and installation layout support LED life. Schedules avoid unnecessary operating hours, while the dedicated 3000K white channel produces everyday white lighting without needing to run the RGB channels to mix white.

Rating note: 50,000 hours is the stated LED-life rating, not a warranty or a whole-system life guarantee. Actual life depends on operating and installation conditions; the year equivalents above are operating-time calculations.
